Carly Martinetti is the co-founder of Notably, a modern PR agency for high-growth companies that want to leverage earned media to scale quickly, raise serious capital, be acquired or go public. A creative, insightful entrepreneur, Carly began her career as an assistant producer for the nationally-recognized Dr. Phil Show, and then went on to found her own company, Pretty Litter (now one of the leading cat litter products in the U.S.) which she later sold to a venture capital company. Carly also opened and ran Warner Communications’ Los Angeles office, working with a roster of B2B and B2C companies. She then joined a leading independent PR firm and was swiftly promoted to partner. During her tenure there, Carly oversaw a portfolio of startups, gaining a reputation for being able to make just about any company newsworthy. Today, Carly focuses her expansive skills on creating topical, newsworthy coverage for Notably’s clients.
Instead of reacting to changes in your industry as they’re happening, take a proactive approach to prepare for problems before they arise.
Before you make a public statement, be sure to think about the potential consequences to your business -- both positive and negative.
Perseverance is one of the most important traits for a business leader to possess. Even in hard times or when others might give up, a leader must remain committed to their organization and its vision, and take the steps necessary to achieve it.
