About

I'm a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, conference SPEAKER, special guest BLOGGER, and financial EDUCATOR for women and women's organizations. The latter I do as part of my Savvy Women Investor Circle (SWIC), an educational program designed for women to gain knowledge and guidance around building and growing their investment assets. As President of Harris & Harris Wealth Management Group, I share my financial advice and expertise to women professionals, whether she is an executive at a Fortune 500 company or a business owner of a multi-million dollar company. I leverage my 20+ years of experience in finance and accounting with Merrill Lynch, Edward Jones Investments, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and The NASDAQ Stock Market to help women achieve their dreams and solve their financial challenges. My interest in finance began early. In college, I frequently read “Money” magazine and enjoyed providing informal financial advice to friends and colleagues. After graduating cum laude from St. Paul’s College, Lawrenceville, VA with a B.S. degree in Business Administration, concentrating in Accounting, I was offered a full time position as an auditor for the Department of Defense. It was during this time that I developed my interest in using research to identify the right solution to complex problems. In 2000, I began my investment career with Edward Jones Investments. My ultimate goal was achieved in 2009 when I formed Harris and Harris Wealth Management Group to provide wealth management and financial planning to professional women in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Our objective is to work on your behalf to provide the highest level of care and expertise related to your investments and financial goals. We look forward to the opportunity of ensuring the financial well-being of you and your family.
