Marshall grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina. After graduating from Ravenscroft and Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration, Marshall spent several years at Goldman Sachs, both in their Prime Brokerage and Natural Resources Banking practices. In recent years, Marshall worked in venture capital for WarnerMedia focused on podcasting, sports betting, streaming infrastructure and IoT. Following the stint at WarnerMedia, Marshall linked up with executive Michael Gruen and the members of the Sway House to launch a Gen-Z focused venture practice. Early success has led the group to raising their first venture for which Marshall is the Managing Partner, Animal Capital.
