Larry Shaffer

Larry Shaffer is the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Insperity, a leading HR and Human Capital services company with more than 80 offices throughout the U.S. and an annual revenue of over $5.0 billion. In his role, Larry is responsible for leading the company’s marketing and business development teams, including sales innovation, brand strategy, digital and social media marketing, and internal and external events. This work spans the oversight of a team of over 130 employees with an annual budget of $70+ million. As a leader in the HR services industry, Insperity supports over 10,000 businesses that represent over 300,000 employees. Since 1986, Insperity’s mission has been to help businesses succeed so communities prosper. We do this by delivering HR services that make a difference in the lives of employees, businesses, and communities they represent. Larry is a natural extension of the Insperity brand as he helps employees and leaders, both inside and outside of Insperity, ‘Activate Their X-Factor’ so they can maximize their professional achievement while also staying grounded upon their values. Larry has a bachelor’s degree and two master’s degrees from Pacific Christian College, Luther Rice University, and Regis University, respectively. His degree from Regis University is a Master of Business Administration with honors in accounting and finance. Larry has a history of volunteer efforts, including Prison Entrepreneurship Program, Star of Hope, a Houston-based non-profit supporting the city’s homeless population, and the Cynthia Woods Pavilion and Performing Arts. Larry has traveled to Africa five times, including South Africa, Swaziland, and Malawi. His work there provided leadership training to Christian leaders and ministers.
