About

Tahitia Timmons, MSN, CDP®, CDE®, (certified diversity professional and executive) and is a national speaker on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). She is also an advocate, coaching professional, nurse, content creator and the mother of two amazing people. Tahitia grew up in a multi-ethnic and multi-religious household, in Paterson, NJ, an urban area in the US. Growing up, the impact of poverty and lack of resources made her keenly aware of how health and wellness affect our lives. Professional and personal experiences also have taught her that bias is real and dangerous when not addressed, especially in healthcare. She is committed to making a difference in the area of DEI because of this. She identifies as a Black, queer, autistic, cis woman who uses she/her/hers pronouns. In 2023 she decided to launch a podcast dedicated to telling stories about people working on health equity issues, including everyday folks tackling big challenges.
